SUZUKI GSXR 1000 K9 FEATURES
- Compact 999cc 4-cylinder liquid-cooled engine offers excellent power and throttle response, along with reduced emissions.
- Suzuki Dual Throttle Valve (SDTV) downdraft digital fuel injection brings seamless, linear throttle response and enhanced low-rpm torque.
- Fuel injectors are more compact and each has 12 smaller holes (instead of 4 larger holes) to produce a finer spray for better fuel atomization.
- Choice of three engine-management-system performance settings each with its own engine map.
- A handlebar-mounted switch allows instantaneous selection between the three maps developed from racebike maps for rainy, mixed or dry track conditions.
- Iridium-electrode spark plugs enhance combustion and provide a long service life.
- Adjustable, back-torque-limiting clutch contributes to smoother downshifts.
- Self-adjusting hydraulic clutch actuation system minimizes change in clutch feel over the course of a long race.
- Large, trapezoidal-shape radiator, working with a large oil pump and efficient oil cooler.
- High-volume titanium/stainless steel Suzuki Advanced Exhaust System (SAES) features an under-body chamber and two low-slung mufflers.
- The exhaust layout helps increase internal volume, lowers the center of gravity, centralizes the mass and enhances aerodynamics.
- Aerodynamic bodywork enhances aggressive style while maintaining small front area.
- Cast aluminum-alloy frame built for superb rigidity balance to deliver precise feel.
- Optional kit parts adjust swing-arm pivot height for racing set-up.
- Front forks and rear shock absorber both have adjustable high/low-speed compression damping, and fully adjustable rebound damping and spring preload.
- Electronically controlled steering damper: less damping force for lighter steering at slower speeds and more damping force at higher speeds.
- 3-way-adjustable footpegs (brake pedal/master cylinder and shift lever move with the pegs).
